Since the introduction of Audio Overviews (audio summaries) last year, NotebookLM users have been creating detailed, podcast-like summaries on key topics from the sources they’ve uploaded. To expand on this functionality and give users a more educational and visual experience, we are pleased to introduce Video Overviews (video summaries).
Users can now turn documents, slides, charts, and more into engaging explanatory videos narrated by an AI voice. Video Overviews are expertly crafted visual guides of the content you provide, incorporating images, diagrams, quotes, and figures from your original material. Like Audio Overviews, you’ll also have the option to customize your video overview by specifying topics to focus on, indicating your learning objectives, describing the target audience, and more. At the moment, video overviews are only available for users over 18 years old.
Improvements have also been incorporated into the Studio panel, where elements like audio overviews and notes can be created in NotebookLM, which includes multiple audio overviews and the ability to share content.
Specifically, users can now:

- Generate multiple audio summaries in a single notebook. This means you can now create versions in different languages from the same source material or generate a set of audio summaries that focus on different subsections of your sources.
- Generate shareable links for content like audio summaries and video summaries, which cannot be shared outside of your domain.
