Launch Summary
In addition to the ten site templates already available designed for common site uses, you can now distribute custom site templates throughout your organization. You can create and share templates based on your organization’s needs when displaying and sharing information. Plus, your coworkers will have easy access to your custom templates, allowing them to quickly adapt and use them as needed. This will reduce the time you spend structuring and formatting your sites, freeing you up to focus on tasks that achieve greater impact.
Additional details
Share a preview of your templates with coworkers. Template previews are a quick and easy way to share site templates with your team without needing to submit a site to your domain’s template gallery. Simply add “/template/preview” to the end of the site ID in the URL. This will allow any user who has read or edit permission to view the draft site or make a copy of it. Please note that users who have published read permission will not be able to preview a template.
Increased language support for existing site templates
In addition to the sixteen supported languages currently, you will now be able to use the existing site templates in these additional languages:
- Australian English
- Filipino
- Hindi
- Indonesian
- Korean
- Polish
- Simplified Chinese
- Turkish
- Vietnamese

- End Users: Visit the Help Center to learn more about how to generate document templates and create a website from a template.
Throwing rhythm
- Quick Release Domains: Gradual release (up to 15 days for feature visibility) starting on June 24, 2021
- Scheduled Release Domains: Gradual release (up to 15 days for feature visibility) starting on July 19, 2021

- Available for Google Workspace Essentials, Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Fundamentals, Education Plus, Frontline, and Nonprofits, as well as G Suite Basic and Business customers.
- Not available for Google Workspace Business Starter customers
