UI & UX Design
Once we explore from one Google Workspace tool to another, we’ll notice that the User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) among these Google tools are very similar.
UI and UX are terminologies that are often confused and used interchangeably. The difference between the two is very simple, yet very important:
- UI is everything we can see and interact with.
- UX is how that interaction with the product or tool makes you feel.
Example: Let’s imagine a car
What are the basic elements of the car we’re imagining?
- Four wheels
- An engine
- Seats
- Windshield
- Steering wheel
- Gear stick
- Pedals
While the elements of the User Interface may be very similar, the User Experience of driving a ’68 VW Beetle is vastly different from driving a brand new Ferrari.
