What changes will we implement
At Google Workspace Marketplace, you will see more information about the applications available in the Marketplace. Specifically, you will see the following information:
- Overview: Information about the app developer, including quick links to their site, privacy policy, and Terms of Service
- Permissions: Application permissions that should be reviewed to evaluate whether access to application data complies with your organization’s policies
- Opinions: Opinions and responses from other users who installed the application

Why is it important?
Before install the Google Workspace Marketplace app to users in their domain, administrators can review important information about the application, such as developer information, permissions required by applications and much more. This additional information will help you make a more informed decision when deploying applications to your users.
How to get started
- Administrators: Visit the Help Center to learn more about how to manage Google Workspace Marketplace apps in your organization. If you allow users to install any Marketplace app, the “Approved for you” section will not appear.
- End Users: To view Marketplace apps that have been approved by your administrator, visit the “Approved for you” section at Google Workspace Marketplace.
Throwing rhythm
- Rapid and scheduled release domains: Extended release (possibly more than 15 days for feature visibility ) starting June 30, 2021
Availability
- Available to Google Workspace Business Starter, Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Fundamentals, Education Plus and Nonprofits customers, as well as G Suite Basic and Business
- Not available for Google Workspace Essentials or Frontline customers
