New “End meeting for all” action in the security investigation tool

Admins can now remove all users and end selected meetings from the security investigation tool using the new “end meeting for all” action. You can use this feature to: End multiple meetings within your organization, search for and end old meetings that are being used inappropriately and set up rules to end meetings based on certain user actions. Available to Google Workspace Enterprise Plus, Education Standard, and Education Plus customers. Read more.

Review presentations more quickly with new viewing interface on Google Slides iOS app

We’re improving the mobile viewing experience for Google Slides on iOS. To allow you to view more information at once, you can now: Scroll through a vertical stream of slides; pinch to zoom to get a closer look and easily switch between editing, presenting, or casting content. This update is already available on Android. Read more.

Material You, a new look and feel for Google Workspace apps, is rolling out now for Android

Beginning today, we’re rolling out Material You: a new design system for Google Workspace apps on Android devices. Material You features an updated, fresh look and feel for your apps, along with additional options for personalization. Read more.

New effects settings panel in Google Meet

We’re introducing a new settings panel in Google Meet for quick access to effects such as background blur, background images and styles during Meet calls. This panel will also be available before joining a call in the green room self-check. In the green room, you can try out various effects to see how they work before joining a call with others. View Google Classroom activity with new audit logs, view adoption and other metrics with BigQuery activity logs

We’re making two enhancements for Google Classroom, which will help Google Workspace for Education admins surface information about how Classroom is being used in their organization. Classroom audit logs are available to Google Workspace Education Fundamentals, Education Plus, Teaching and Learning Upgrade, Essentials, Business Starter, Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Standard, and Enterprise Plus Frontline, and Nonprofits, as well as G Suite Basic and Business customers; BigQuery Logs + Data Studio Templates are available to Google Workspace Education Standard and Education Plus customers. Restore a page via version history in new Google Sites

In new Google Sites, you can now restore a specific page from version history. Previously, you could only restore an entire site. This additional functionality makes it easier to restore, edit, and re-publish specific pages that may have changed by mistake or been deleted. Read more.

Forms settings are now easier to navigate

Coming soon: new Google Meet Hardware devices

We just announced some new and exciting additions to the Google Meet hardware portfolio for the office or home office.
We’re announcing two new all-in-one video conferencing devices to complement our Series One Rooms Kits. We’re also proud to announce new third-party devices coming to the Google Meet hardware ecosystem.
Additionally, Appcessori is launching a new mobile device speaker dock, Rayz Rally Pro, that will automatically launch Google Meet for video meetings and provide an enhanced audio experience from mobile devices. Read more.

Google Chat ‘Rooms’ are now ‘Spaces’

In June 2021, we announced that ‘Rooms’ in Google Chat would evolve to become ‘Spaces’. As part of that evolution, starting on September 8, 2021, any user who has enabled Chat in their Gmail settings will start to see the term ‘Rooms’ automatically updated to ‘Spaces’. Over the coming months, spaces will be enhanced with a number of new features such as in-line topic threading, discoverable spaces, and enhanced user roles and moderation.
